With the "High Performance Tool Process",
end mills that have a "chip-out" can be salvaged
with minimum diameter
loss.
Instead of removing
the "chip-outs", by grinding down the diameter of the end mill, a refluting
method can remove the "chip-outs" with almost negligible decrease in
diameter to the cutting tool.
This refluting process
avoids your scrapping of costly end mills, revising programs on N/C
equipment, revising speeds as well as feeds for smaller diameter cutters,
etc.
This process is an
added feature to the full service tool and cutter grinding provided by High
Performance Tool Grinding for the aerospace industry over the years. It is
a part of our continuing program to perform economical, high quality work in
prolonging the life of all cutter tools for our
customers.
